I´m not a cooking expert but I would like to share with you this is the traditional soup for new New year, we call that Ozouni, every house or region has different recipe for ‘ozouni’ I hope you try to cook it and enjoy it |

- 100 gr aprox. of Mixed miso (add little by little and try it, adjust to your taste) *Depend on the region, the type of miso changes.
- 1 chicken leg without skin and bones ( some people do not use chicken depending on the region, you can try vegetarian only)
- 5 cm of daikon
- 5 cm of carrot
- 5 gr of bonito flakes ( optional)
- 500 ml of water
- 4 pieces of round mochi
- 1 satoimo ( similar to potato)
- ( Some people use spinach and cabbage this is optional )
- ½ Dashi powder (5 gr aprox)

- 100 gr aprox de Miso mezclado, añade poco a poco y ve probándolo
- *Depende de la región, cambia el tipo de miso.
- 1 Muslo de pollo deshuesado y sin piel ( esto cambia según la región, hay regiones que lo preparan vegetariano)
- 5 cm de daikon
- 5 cm de zanahoria
- 5 gr de bonito seco
- 500 ml de agua
- 4 piezas de Mochi
- 1 satoimo ( parecido a patata)
- Algunas personas ponen otros vegetales como col o Espinacas, puede ser una alternativa
- ½ Sobre de polvo de caldo dashi (aprox)

- Cut the ingredients into small slices
- Add the chicken and vegetables and the dashi powder into the boiling water
- Wait until the vegetables and the chicken are cooked ( 15 min aprox)
- Add the Misso paste little by little, try first and adjust it to your taste
- Put the Mochi into the Microwave 1 min aprox
- *until Mochi get soft enough to eat
- Finally serve the soup with the mochi inside the soup

- Corta los ingredientes en pequeños trozos
- Pon las verduras y el pollo en el agua caliente con el dashi
- Espera hasta que las verduras y el pollo estén cocinado ( unos 15 min)
- Añade el miso poco a poco y ve provándolo que se ajuste a tu gusto, puedes añadir más o menos depende de cada persona
- Pon el mochi en el Microondas 1 min aprox
- *Hasta que mochi sea bastante blanda para comer
- Finalmente sirve la sopa con el mochi dentro

I was looking up satoimo and it is also called taro root in markets, especially in North America. It may help some who are looking for it. I think a sweet potato may work nicely here too
